India vs Australia T20I: Players who could decide the winner of the series
India had two series to play, and test their squad before the T20I World Cup. The Australia tour has been an exciting series so far, and today both teams will clash in the series decider at Hyderabad
India won the 2nd T20I chasing with the help of the skipper Rohit Sharma. The three-match series stands at 1-1 currently. The first match saw India posting a massive total but failing to defend, while the second game became one of a kind match after getting reduced to 8 overs.
Now the series has reached the high-scoring small ground of Hyderabad. This ground has seen many IPL games, however, this field has only hosted one T20I game, which saw 27 sixes hammered, scoring 416 runs by both teams.
The Hyderabad pitch is usually dry and hard, which helps medium pacers and spinners, and the size makes it a high-scoring platform.
Looking at the conditions, few players could be the reason for deciding the series winner.
KL Rahul
The Indian opener has been a little under question regarding his form and timings, but he loves dominating bowlers here at Hyderabad. In the one T20I played here against West Indies, he hammered four sixes and five boundaries to score 62 runs in 40 balls.
But his love for this ground goes beyond this. In the seven innings played by him here, he has managed to score two half-centuries, 79(56), and 51(28) and plays over a strike rate of 150.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
India's most skilled swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has a special connection with this ground. This is the home ground for his team Sunrisers Hyderabad. He is also the highest wicket-taker in IPL at this venue, with 36 wickets under his belt.
Though he is going through a rough patch due to his death over bowling, this match could be his chance to bounce back and destroy the Australian batting line-up. His experience playing in this short ground will add tremendous value to India's pace attack for the final T20I against Australia.
Cameron Green
Australian newly appointed opener Cameron Green has the best of his time opening the innings alongside skipper Aaron Finch. In the first T20I against India, he led the attack by scoring 61 runs off 30 balls, consisting of eight boundaries and four sixes.
His power-hitting capability will get great support from the ground that aids power-hitters with its short boundaries. In the past three months, he has won three "player of the match" awards across the three formats and can potentially turn games for Australia in India and World Cup.
Matthew Wade
Matthew Wade's reinvention as the middle-order specialist batter has been serving best for the team. He has some special knick to play on Indian soil and smash bowlers for heavy runs.
In the first two T20Is, he remained unbeaten at 45 and 43, respectively, to aid Australia in its innings. While playing in India, he carries a phenomenal strike rate of 214.63, much higher than in Australia. Averaging at 59.66 against India proves how much he loves to trouble Indian bowlers. His destruction at the Hyderabad pitch is a potential threat for men in blue.
