England VS South Africa: Moeen Ali smashes England's fastest T20I fifty in just 16 balls

Moeen Ali, an all-rounder for England, gave a stunning display of attacking batting to demonstrate why the T20 format is becoming increasingly well-liked among the general public.

In the first T20I against South Africa, the veteran cricketer went on an absolute rampage, slamming a 16-ball half-century.

Moeen Ali made history by scoring a fifty in the fewest balls consumed by an Englishman in T20 international cricket, thanks to two fours and six thunderous sixes.

South Africa replied with useful knocks from Reeza Hendricks (57 off 33) and Tristan Stubbs (72 off 28), but they could only score 193 runs in 20 overs.

Moeen Ali was named Player of the Match for his quick-fire half-century and for taking the crucial wicket of Reeza Hendricks.

Moeen Ali was taken by the IPL franchise for his bat ability and off-spin bowling, both ideal in Indian conditions and short formats like T20. The delay in clearance of his paper and the out-off sorts Chennai Super Kings in the 2022 edition overshadowed his contribution.

In IPL 2022, he played ten matches and scored 244 Runs with eight wickets. He had a strike rate of 137.85 and was auctioned for 8 Crores in 2022.
