In the first T20I against South Africa, the veteran cricketer went on an absolute rampage, slamming a 16-ball half-century.
Moeen Ali made history by scoring a fifty in the fewest balls consumed by an Englishman in T20 international cricket, thanks to two fours and six thunderous sixes.
South Africa replied with useful knocks from Reeza Hendricks (57 off 33) and Tristan Stubbs (72 off 28), but they could only score 193 runs in 20 overs.
Moeen Ali was named Player of the Match for his quick-fire half-century and for taking the crucial wicket of Reeza Hendricks.
