IPL 2022: A guide needed for wide?

Lately, this season there have been quite controversial calls made by on-field umpires leaving players furious. The 16th over of the 2nd innings being bowled by Arshdeep Singh brought another curious case of faulty umpiring. He bowled a wide yorker to Shimron Hetmyer, who let it go and was called a wide. It was right on the wide line until it swung in late. The bowler got furious, and Punjab Kings were not happy at all. Skipper Mayank Agarwal calmed the bowler down to keep him focused.

Aakash Chopra expressed this on Twitter and said, “Wide ke liye ek guide chahiye…”

He scalped one wicket and conceded just six runs at an economy of 2.00 in his spell of three overs.

“Mohsin khan..wow…maiden wicket…” tweeted former cricketer Parthiv Patel.
