    Match Preview

India chased down the target in the first ODI with all 10 wickets in hand after destroying England for 110. It's a game that might make or break the hosts in a three-match series. On Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Oval in London, India gave England no chance in the opening ODI, which may best be compared to a street brawl. The hosts had little chance to recuperate as the lads in blue kept landing punch after punch. The English squad would now like to make a comeback in the three-match series going into the second game, which will take place at the Lord's just a few miles away. The Indian team, on the other hand, would be searching for yet another chance to prove their worth in challenging situations and embarrass the English on their home field. It is a rare thrill in international cricket to defeat England in both the T20I and ODI series, especially when England is regarded as one of the best white ball teams.

    England Team changes

Although the reunion of England's Fab Five at The Oval was a resounding failure, few would contest that the current top seven players, up to and including Moeen, are currently the front-runners for next year's World Cup.

The bowlers are the only ones left, and what might any of them demonstrate while defending a target of 111? One conceivable change would be to reintroduce Sam Curran, possibly in place of Craig Overton, considering that he is still gradually returning to action after his back injury. But rebooting and reloading look like an equally great option.

    India Team changes

Why disband a great team? A side in reasonable functioning order is suggested by a victory by ten wickets and with 188 balls remaining. While Arshdeep Singh, who missed the same game with an abdominal strain, wasn't exactly missed in the bowling ranks, there is still no word on Virat Kohli's groyne ailment.

The middle order is lined up with several of the same players that dominated in the T20Is, ready to stake another claim. If Kohli is able to play again, he will probably take the place of either Shreyas Iyer or Suryakumar Yadav.

England VS India, 2nd ODI-Pitch Report

The Lord's surface has always favored swing bowlers. The wicket will therefore benefit the bowlers in this game as well. There has only been one game played here since the World Cup, and England defeated Pakistan by 52 runs.
