and it is clear that they are trying to find solutions to existing loopholes in the form of injuries and form issues. Earlier, they tried opening with Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav, and then they experimented by introducing spinner Ravindra Jadeja inside the powerplay.
In the wake of attempting and trying out different things during the series, we look at the potential experiments that team India can do in the remaining T20Is.
Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav'sYadav's bowling combination
In the first three T20Is, Men in Blue gave chances to Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi. While Ravi Bishnoi got just a game, Kuldeep Yadav has been warming the bench from the first three T20Is.
Kuldeep Yadav was selected in the previous series but couldn't play due to a hand injury. And on this tour, even when Yuzvendra Chahal is rested, he hasn't been able to make it to the playing XI.
So, team India can try out the spin combination of leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi and Kuldeep Yadav in a couple of games by giving Ravichandran Ashwin a break.
Getting Ishan- Rohit opening duo back
Ishan Kishan last opened the innings for India in the first T20I against England in early July when India toured England. In that match, he struggled to get dismissed at 8. Ever since the spot next to Rohit Sharma for opening has been subject to experimentation.
Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, and Virat Kohli have been part of this experiment, but India still stands at the same place in the absence of KL Rahul.
India can think of giving a couple of chances to Ishan Kishan in these games ahead of Asia Cup and World Cup squad selection.
Sanju Samson for number 3
When given a chance to play in the ODI series against West Indies, Sanju Samson fared reasonably well to score 54 in the 2nd ODI and be unbeaten at 6 in the third ODI. However, the batter has been deprived of opportunities and chances in the shortest format.
He performed exceptionally well in the only match he got to play against Ireland to score 77 as an opener. Amidst the experiment going on with top-order, especially openers, he deserves a fair amount of chance to perform and prove his calibre.
