Cricket News: Netherlands VS New Zealand 1st T20I - NOW LIVE
New Zealand travels to the Netherlands for a two-match T20I series beginning on Thursday, August 4th, prior to their white-ball tour of the Caribbean
The Kiwis are currently on a nine-match winning streak after sweeping Ireland and Scotland, and they will look to extend that streak in the upcoming series.
Meanwhile, the Netherlands recently qualified for the T20 World Cup, which will be held in Australia later this year, and will be hoping for a strong performance against a strong New Zealand team.
In contrast to the visitors, the Netherlands has yet to play in a bilateral series this year, and their chances against a rampaging Kiwi side appear bleak.
The Dutch will be led by Scott Edwards in the T20I series against New Zealand. Max ODowd, Logan van Beek, and Tom Cooper will all play important roles for the team and will be eager to put on a strong performance in front of their home crowd.
Mitchell Santner will lead the New Zealand team on this tour. Martin Guptill and Mark Chapman have been in fantastic form and will look to continue contributing in the upcoming T20I series. They start as favourites and hope to get the series off to a winning start.
Pitch Report: NED vs. NZ 1st T20I
Sportpark Westvliet's surface hasn't seen much international action, but it's not traditionally been a high-scoring ground, and the bowlers are a handful on the surface.
The team that wins the toss will almost certainly choose to bowl first because teams batting second have won 60% of the time at this venue but given the contrasting quality of the two sides, the toss won't be much of a factor.
