The most recent T20I and ODI series between India and West Indies took place in February of this year. India was able to sweep the West Indies, winning 3-0 in both the ODI and T20I series. West Indies now have a chance to get revenge on their own grounds for their loss.
Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and other seasoned players have been rested by India for the ODI series. India's side, which is loaded with T20I experts, will be led by Shikhar Dhawan.
West Indies were whitewashed in the ODI series by Bangladesh. They also need to get better at One-Day and Test games. The players right now are more accustomed to playing T20 cricket frequently, both abroad and in franchise cricket.
Nicholas Pooran, the team's captain, frequently mentioned how their poor batting against Bangladesh cost them the matches. Jason Holder has been called back by the Windies for the ODI series against India. He was one of the names from the previous season who had been rested.
