Legendary Women cricketer Jhulan Goswami will bid farewell to her successful long cricketing career at the historic ground of Lord’s on 24th September
Jhulan Goswami will fly to England for her last international series against England. The last ODI of the series will be the final stint of Chakda Express - Jhulan Goswami.
India will play three T20Is in England on September 10, 13, and 15, followed by three ODIs on September 18, 21, and 24. As per reports, BCCI was keen on giving veteran pacer Jhulan Goswami a proper farewell which she couldn’t get during ICC Women’s World Cup after picking a side strain.

Over two decades, she has represented India in 12 tests, 44 T20Is, and 201 ODI and has taken 44 wickets in tests, 252 in ODIs, and 56 in T20Is.
- Most wickets and second longest career in ODI: She holds the record for the most wickets in women ODIs history – 252 from 201 matches. She has a phenomenal economy of 3.37 and an average of 21.98. She has spanned 20 years and 75 days in ODI, the second longest career after Indian skipper Mithali Raj.
- Youngest player to take ten wickets in a test match: Jhulan Goswami made an exceptional record in 2006 when she scalped ten wickets in a Test match against England. She was just 23-year-old when she achieved this feat.
- Most wickets were taken by LBW: Indian women pacer holds a unique record of LBW wickets in both ODIs and Tests. She is the only bowler in both the formats to take LBW wickets the most number of times. In 12 Test matches from 2002-2021, she took 18 LBWs, while in 201 ODI games from her debut till today, she took 55 LBWs.
- Most wickets at Women’s World Cup: During ICC World Cup 2022, she broke the record of most wickets at the world cup, going past Australian Lyn Fullston. She picked her 40th wicket against West Indies in this World Cup and took 31 appearances to achieve this feat.
