    DIVISION 1

Continuing from Day 1, Yorkshire Vikings and Surrey expanded their totals on what looks like a high-scoring venue. Yorkshire Vikings posted a massive total of 521, but Adam Lyth and Jonathan Tattersall fell short of their double hundreds after a colossal stand of 305. In response, Surrey got off to a good start as they fetched 191 at a loss of 1 wicket to trail by 330 runs. Rory Burns struck an unbeaten 94, whereas Hashim Amla is playing on 45* off 87 balls by stumps.

Somerset expanded the total from 297 to score 446 from the first innings against Lancashire Lightning. After Lewis Goldsworthy 130, they got valuable contributions from Roelof van der Merwe and Lewis Gregory to post a massive total. In response, Lancashire Lightning openers Luke Wells and Keaton Jennings put up a 164-run stand in 54 overs as Wells ended the day at unbeaten 91 and Jennings at unbeaten 61.

After Northamptonshire Steelbacks got bundled for 303 on the first day, day 2 began with Kent Spitfires' first innings. They reached 287/5 by the stumps as Joe Denly, Jack Leaning scored 63 each, and Jordan Coz ended the day at an unbeaten score of 63. Kent Spitfires are in a strong position as they trail by 16 runs and have five wickets to fetch a lead.

Essex Eagles resumed day two from a trail of 9 runs in reply to 136 scored by Gloucestershire in their first inning. Alastair Cook and Tom Westley stood firm to fetch individual scores of 145 and 90 and take their team to a strong position. They got all out at 310 as no other batter could score even in double-digit to expand the total further. Gloucestershire began their second innings but again bowed down to Simon Harmer, who took a five-wicket haul on the second day. They now trail by 34 runs with four wickets remaining.

While chasing a trail of 175 runs, Hampshire Hawks saw a middle-order collapse owing to Oliver Hannon-Dalby's fifer. Still, Ian Holland's 99 and Liam Dawson's 92 helped stabilize their inning, as the team declared after getting a lead of 153 runs from the first inning. Warwickshire negotiated tricky six overs at the end of the day without losing any wicket and trailed by 142 runs.

    DIVISION 2

Day 2 between Sussex Sharks and Leicestershire Foxes scored more runs at Hove. After breezing to 407/4 on the first day, they accumulated 588 runs from the first innings as James Coles, and Delray Rawlins scored the fifties. In reply, Leicestershire put forward an intense fight despite losing a wicket on the very first ball. While Rishi Patel frustrated the opposition with 150-ball 67*, Louis Kimber raced to 91* in just 131 balls to build a 159-run stand. They still trail by 429 runs at the loss of 1 wicket.

After Durham and Nottinghamshire restricted Derbyshire Falcons and Glamorgan on Day to 283 and 318 runs, respectively, they resumed their batting on Day 2. Durham's first inning ended with a 13-run lead, whereas Nottinghamshire fell short of 33 runs to cover the lead. By the stumps, Derbyshire had lost two wickets for 19 runs in their second inning, whereas Glamorgan continued to expand their lead from 1st inning to score 53/0 in 2nd inning.

In the fourth match, Middlesex bundled out Worcestershire Rapids at 191 in response to their first inning score of 188 runs. Ed Barnard's fighting fifty helped them grab a tiny 3-run lead. Middlesex began their second innings, but bowlers continued to call the shots as they once again found themselves lingering at 180 after losing six wickets. The day saw 11 wickets falling, and Middlesex reached the lead of 177 runs with four wickets still in hand.
