After losing successive Super 4 stage matches, India will face Afghanistan in the fifth encounter of the Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 stage. Afghanistan also lost its first Super 4 game.

These two teams got off to a strong start in the tournament, winning both of their league stage matches in their respective groups. But things went wrong when it counted the most, and they had a terrible start to the Super 4 stage.

After losing to Pakistan, India went on to lose against Sri Lanka. Once again, Indian bowlers were unable to stop the runs.

Afghanistan was defeated by Sri Lanka by four wickets in their first game of the Super 4 stage. They, like India, scored well but were unable to defend them.

With Afghanistan losing against Pakistan last night, India and Afghanistan both stands eliminated. 

Both teams have had identical outings thus far, and a great game between these two sides is expected here on Thursday.

Avesh Khan has been ruled out of the Asia Cup 2022 owing to illness. Deepak Chahar takes his place in the squad.
