Cricket News and Update : Bangladesh levelled the series by Mosaddek Hossain's 5-wicket and Litton Das's fifty
It was a strong comeback by Bangladesh after a humiliating defeat in the first match. The visitors batted comfortably with the help of Litton Das's 56 to chase a small total of 135 and won the game by seven wickets to level this three-match T20I series with Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe again decided to bat first after winning the toss, thinking of posting another big total like the previous game, but Bangladesh was prepared this time with their game plan. They started with the spin, and Mosaddek Hossain took two wickets in the first over of the game.
By the end of the 7th over, Mosaddek Hossain single-handedly sent half of the Zimbabwe team back into the pavilion at a team total of 31 runs only.
An 80-run partnership between Sikandar Raza, and Ryan Burl, along with some few boundaries from tail-enders in the end, took the host's total to 135/8.
The target would never trouble Bangladesh batters unless Zimbabwe showed some skills and took early wickets. Litton Das, however, made sure this stayed an easy win for his team when he went beast mode completing his 50 in 30 balls. Munim Shahriar fell early, but Afif Hossain and Najmul Hossain Shantu brought the match to a finish by winning seven wickets.
Mosaddek Hossain said, "I was feeling fantastic on winning Man of the match. It was planned (to start with spin) from before, and the captain used the spinners well in the powerplay."
The first game was dominated by the host, while the second by the visitors. The series decider on 2nd August would finally close the series with the answer on who is more prepared for the World Cup.
