Cricket News: Ireland VS. Afghanistan, 4th T20I Highlights - Afghanistan Beat Ireland, Take Series To Decider
Afghanistan defeated Ireland by 27 runs to tie the five-match series at 2-2 with one game remaining
Cricket fans have undoubtedly found the five-match T20 International series between Ireland and Afghanistan to be an exhilarating trip.
In the fourth T20I, which was postponed due to rain, Afghanistan defeated Ireland by 27 runs at the Civil Service Cricket Club in Belfast.
Afghanistan's victory forced a decisive match in the ongoing five-match series.
Afghanistan scored 132 for 6 when batting first in the 11 overs-per-side game on Monday, bowling Ireland out for 105 runs.
Afghanistan's first innings was aided by Najibullah Zadran's 50 off 24 and Rashid Khan's 31 not out off 10, but Fareed Ahmad Malik later picked up 3 for 14 to take his team to an easy victory.
Ireland chose to bowl first in the match after winning the toss. The earlier delay in the toss due to a soggy outfield caused the match to be shortened to 11 overs for each side.
The five-match series is now tied at 2-2, with the last match scheduled for August 17 at the same location.
This series is important for both countries, as the T20 World Cup in Australia is scheduled for later this year.
