    Hampshire vs Yorkshire

Hampshire registered an emphatic two-wicket win on the final day against Yorkshire at the Rose Bowl. Continuing from day 3, Yorkshire could add just 77 runs to the overnight score of 101/5, giving a target of 197 to the hosts.

Hampshire's pursuit of 198 in 59 overs was wracked with lots of uncertainty, beginning with the loss of both the openers for a score of 23 on the board as Jordan Thompson got the early breakthroughs. But Nick Gubbins and Liam Dawson added vital runs to secure the fifth win in seven with more than 18 overs still to bowl. Nick Gubbins added 42 off 42, whereas Liam Dawson smashed 67 off 68 to cover most of the target. The little work remaining was done by Keith Barker (21) and an unbeaten 16 from James Fuller to seal the win with two wickets to spare. The victory was Hampshire's first over Yorkshire at home in the Championship since 2008 and only the third at the Ageas Bowl to claim 22 points to keep pressure on Surrey.

    Kent vs Gloucestershire

Kent registered their first win of the County Championship as they defeated Gloucestershire by eight wickets at Canterbury. Resuming their play from an overnight score of 37/5, Gloucestershire managed to put a total of 213 as their lower order stepped up with bat to ensure that they didn't suffer an innings loss, but the effort was just not enough to prevent them from going down. Glenn Phillips batted for nearly three hours to provide resistance to tumbling wickets and make his 59. Apart from him, Miles Hammond and Ryan Higgins added 41 and 30 runs, respectively, to put the respectable target on the scoreboard as Jacob Duffy's fifer stole the show for Kent.

The effective target left for Kent to chase down was just 88 runs which their top managed to wipe off inside 23 overs to complete a facile win.
