While cricketers are used to gaining headlines with their performances, players are now stealing the show with their unusual celebrations.

As players love their game in their unique style, and when certain players take wickets or make stunning catches while fielding, certain players will do distinctive celebrations. It doesn't matter if it's a century, a five-wicket haul, or a stumping. Players tend to over-celebrate or try to imitate a popular celebration.

Players' celebrations on the field reflect their current situation and how important sport is to them. Keeping this in mind, we've compiled a list of the top five most popular IPL 2022 celebrations.

    1) Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal, the veteran leg-spinner, is on a redemption mission this season. He has the Purple Cap and is the only player in this IPL to score a hat-trick. He spins the bowl and uses his techniques and skills to fool the batsman.

The gifted leg-spinner never fails to excite his fans, whether on or off the field. Chahal's final over against Kolkata Knight Riders was the game-winner, giving him his first hat-trick and the first five-wicket haul in IPL history. In a high-scoring thriller, his hat-trick shattered the KKR's aspirations.

Chahal celebrated his achievement of 5 wicket haul by recreating a viral meme of himself from the 2019 World Cup in which he was seen sitting calmly along the boundary rope with his sunglasses on. The 31-year-old sprinted across the ground, posing with one knee pointed skyward for the camera.

    2) Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo, Dance, and Celebrations have been a near-perfect combo for a long time. Even though Dwayne Bravo hasn't been the same since boyhood, he has remained the same death bowler or has dramatically improved his death bowling skills. He has been taking wickets in the death overs and occasionally in the middle to give his team a chance to win.

After dismissing KKR's Venkatesh Iyer for 16 runs in the IPL 2022 opener, the experienced all-rounder came up with an unusual wicket-taking celebration. He entered the fray in the seventh over, and off the second ball of the over, he gave CSK a much-needed breakthrough. Iyer then attempted to drive but failed to play in the middle of the bat, giving MS Dhoni an easy catch behind the stumps.

After capturing the wicket, Bravo began dancing with an outstretched right hand, twirling the index finger and swinging the hips with the right hand.

    3) Mohammed Siraj

In the last two years, Mohammed Siraj has established himself as an Indian star bowler, capturing key wickets for Team India and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He possesses a devastating motion, and his swinging deliveries, which can go inside or outside, can cause problems for batters. He's also improved his death bowling, which was previously a source of concern.

After dismissing Bhanuka Rajapaksa for 43 runs in RCB's first game against PBKS, the Hyderabad pacer channeled his inner Ronaldo and performed the classic 'SIIIUUUUU' celebration. He was introduced on the 14th and gave the breakthrough with his first delivery.

The bowler trapped IPL newcomer and 2022 U-19 World Cup winner Raj Bawa on the next ball, causing him to celebrate twice in a row. He finished with 2/59 in his figures.

    4) Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav has had a near-perfect season thus far. When he was selected for the Indian team, he had difficulty in the IPL. He has been collecting wickets for Kolkata Knight Riders regularly, demonstrating why he is still one of the top fast bowlers.

During the IPL 2022 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Kolkata bowler celebrated like a footballer. The 34-year-old broke out a celebration reminiscent of French football star and FIFA World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe as soon as he picked up a wicket. The videos of Umesh and Mbappe executing the celebration went viral as soon as he performed it.

The Kolkata-based team purchased him for INR 2 crores at the mega auction, and he has performed admirably in the IPL 2022.

    5) Wanindu Hasaranga

Hasaranga is now one of the top mystery spinners in cricket. He has proven why he is the greatest in the profession, repaying the trust shown in him. Royal Challengers Bangalore paid over INR 10 crores for him and put their faith in him.

Hasaranga took the wickets of Shreyas Iyer, Sunil Narine, Sheldon Jackson, and Tim Southee in a low-scoring thriller. When Shahbaz Ahmed grabbed a low catch from Mayank Agarwal in IPL 2022 against Punjab Kings, the 24-year-old first copied PSG star footballer Neymar's celebration.

In the match conference, the Sri Lankan legend was asked about the reason for his celebration. He concluded that it was Neymar's celebration, and he copied his celebration because Neymar is his favourite footballer.
