Oliver Davies led the Sydney Thunder to an impressive six-wicket BBL win over the Perth Scorchers ( BBL ) at Optus Stadium

Davies scored 57 off 47 balls, including four fours and two sixes, and left his side 29 for 31 when he holed out to the mid-off.
Alex Ross finished with an unbeaten 41 from 18 balls, including three fours and three sixes.
To make matters worse, star seamer Jhye Richardson (2-36 from 3.4 overs) could not complete his spell and left the field injured two balls before the end of his fourth over.
The result moved the Thunder level with the Scorchers at the top of the table with five wins and snapped Perth's run of eight victories at Optus Stadium.
The Thunder were 2-10 after two overs, with Richardson taking a hat-trick after dismissing international stars Alex Hales and Rilee Rossouw for no score.
But Davies joined Matthew Gilkes (32) at the bat, and the pair put on a crucial 67-run partnership off 53 balls.
After ten overs, the Scorchers were 4-47, but the visitors recovered from their early troubles to get to 2-75, needing 68 runs from the remaining 60 deliveries.
Earlier, Ashton Turner was the only Perth batsman to trouble the Thunder bowlers as the captain scored 61 runs off 37 balls.
The Scorchers found themselves in trouble early on after winning the batting battle. The home side was 2-10 after the first four powerplay overs, with the first boundary coming off the fourth ball of the fifth over.
In his last appearance of the tournament, South African star Faf du Plessis (1) was caught by the third man after a ramp jump.
This continued the former Test captain's drought at Optus Stadium, scoring 14, 6, 3 and 1 in front of the home fans while scoring a total of 163 runs, including a high score of 68, in his seven innings.
Oliver Davies' younger brother, Joel, also made his debut at BBL and was always close to the action. He intercepted Cameron Bancroft (2) and Nick Hobson (16) and fired balls from deep that knocked out Adam Lyth (11) and Matt Kelly (17).
Chris Green (1-15 from four overs) was economical, while Nathan McAndrew (3-29 from four overs) removed the dangerous Turner as he picked up pace towards the end of the innings.
Player of the match: Oliver Davies was named man of the match for his successful half-century (58 off 47 balls)
