Best Batsmen in IPL 2022 against spin
The fifteenth edition of the Indian Premier League is all set to complete half of its matches. The ten-team tournament has witnessed many riveting battles for grabbing a spot in the Top 4.
In this edition, five-time champions Mumbai Indians and the defending champions Chennai Super Kings have been struggling. Even in the previous year's qualifier, Delhi Capitals have started looking to lose the plot of the tournament.
With just four venues being played on, surfaces and overall conditions vary each week. While initially, pacers were ruling the pitch by striking early in the powerplay, now conditions have changed such that batters are facing challenges against spinners. There are just a few batters who are able to judge the spinners and use the conditions well to score well. A few of them who can go attacking against spinner are:
Sanju Samson
One of the favorite batters to watch against spinners, Sanju Samson, is a batsman who beholds the sight of fans whilst clearing ropes against spinners. Rajasthan Royals' skipper plays a huge role in dominating spinners when on the crease to keep the scoreboard ticking fast.
The player has scored 117 runs in 5 innings at an average of 23.40 runs and a strike rate of 148.10. However, he has some explosive stats against spinners. Of the 117 runs, he has fetched 67 runs against spinners at a meteoric strike rate of 223.33.
Andre Russell
