India bounced back from their ODI series defeat to record a 188-run win in the first Test.
It is now eight matches without a win in the format for Bangladesh. In the first Test, they were defeated in 3.5 days.
Captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Navdeep Saini are both out for the second Test due to injury.
India have won three of their last four Tests. Their only defeat came against England at Edgbaston in early July.
