Australia VS West Indies: Mitchell Starc eyeing 300 Test wickets
Tests against the West Indies in Perth and Adelaide offer tailor-made conditions for the left-arm as he approaches the 300 Test wickets mark
Mitchell Starc is looking forward to a potential dream start to the summer's Test matches on tempo-friendly pitches and becoming the seventh Australian to take 300 wickets.
Mitchell Starc is 13 wickets away from the magic 300 mark and has every chance of reaching that figure in the two-Test Frank Worrell Trophy series starting in Perth on Wednesday.
That could see him join the illustrious list of Dennis Lillee, Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, and Nathan Lyon in reaching the milestone.
The left arm's danger is based on his current wicket rate: Mitchell Starc's strike rate of one wicket every 49.9 balls would be the best of any Australian to reach 300.
