Australia climb to top of ODI rankings after beating India on their home soil
Australia ended India's four-year unbeaten series streak on home soil and became the ICC's number one ranked ODI side with a 21-run victory in Chennai.
The tourists chose to bat first, reaching 269 with opener Mitchell Marsh providing a run-a-ball 47.
India looked in cruise control in their reply as Virat Kohli made 54 but Ashton Agar removed him and Suryakumar Yadav in consecutive balls to swing proceedings Australia's way and ensure a 2-1 series win.
Only one Australia batter failed to reach double figures, Steve Smith with a three-ball duck, with Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav taking three wickets apiece.
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill got India's innings off to a solid start with a 65-run stand and the hosts were moving along nicely at 185 for four in the 36th over.
But Kohli picked out David Warner and Agar then bowled Suryakumar next ball - his third golden duck in as many innings - to allow Australia to end India's run of seven consecutive series wins at home.
