    Derbyshire vs Middlesex

The beginning of day 3 saw Middlesex attempting to expand their lead from 117 created on Day 2 as they had lost three wickets on the previous day. But Derbyshire's bowlers ruled the Chesterfield pitch as Luis Reece, and Anuj Dal took three-wicket hauls. Apart from Max Holden adding 45 off 62, the complete batting line-up fell an early victim to the bowlers as they lost the final six wickets for mere 39 runs, thus, enabling them to post a target of 219 for Derbyshire.

What followed next in the chase game was a majestic inning from Shan Masood, who took Derbyshire to an astonishing six-wicket win over Middlesex on Day 3 of the County Championship. On losing the skipper early in a run-out, Masood scored 98 from 113 balls. The left-hander was dropped twice before he fell nine runs short of 1000 first-class runs of the season, but Wayne Madsen and Luis Reece's unbeaten scores of 49 and 35, steered Derbyshire to 222-4 and a 20-point win. With this excellent win, the team inflicted Division Two Leaders' first defeat of the season.

    Durham vs Worcestershire

In response to Durham's substantial first inning total posted of 642/7d; Day 2 ended with visitors trailing by 502 runs on the loss of three wickets. However, Worcestershire took control of their innings on the third day, as they reduced their trail to 211 runs at the loss of 3 more wickets.

Jack Haynes scored 68 off 130 for a start, losing Charlie Morris for just eight runs. Following this, we saw a reflection of yesterday's inning- the partnership between Ben Raine and Paul Coughlin, mirroring each other to score centuries just moments apart. Too much similarity, Worcestershire's skipper Brett D'Oliveira, and Ed Barnard built the partnership. Both the players smashed 22 boundaries in their play. Though the skipper lost his wicket in an LBW to Ben Raine at 100, ending their 197-run partnership, Ed Barnard remained unbeaten at 116.
