With the arrival of the 2022 Denmark Open badminton tournament, the sport is entering an active phase, much to the joy of fans. Also called the Denmark Super Series 750, which originated in 1936, it will be the sixteenth edition of the badminton tournament under the BWF Tour and the 71st edition overall

When and where will Denmark Open 2022 begin?
The Denmark Open 2022 will kickstart its first-round matches on October 18 and 19 at the Jyske Bank Arena, Odense. It will be followed by the second round, the quarterfinals, and the semifinals. The finals will take place on Sunday, October 23.
Who will participate in Denmark Open 2022?
We can expect to see 64 singles players and 96 doubles teams from the world participating in the tournament. The Indian team will feature four singles players and three doubles pairs.
They will be led by star shuttler Srikanth Kidambi, alongside young Lakshya Sen, and Satwik-Chirag. The glory-bringing Indian charge that won the Thomas Cup this year will be at the centre of the limelight.
Meanwhile, two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu will skip the event as she has not fully recovered from her injury during her title-winning 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games campaign.
Saina Nehwal is expected to be present in the tournament. On the other hand, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty, Treesa Jolly-Gayathri Gopichand and Tanisha Crasto-Ishaan Bhatnagar are the Indian doubles pairs who will take the court.
In addition, recent world champions Viktor Axelsen and Akane Yamaguchi, along with Carolina Marina, and Tai Tzu Ying, will grace the competition.
